Now that the whole drama involved with Annalise's broken leg has finally passed and we are in recovery, it was time to focus on other things. The month of October brought Daddy's 32nd birthday, Preschool Halloween Party, Field Trips and of course, Halloween itself.
We had hoped to find a minivan since our family is growing and we could use more room. We had hoped to look for minivans the weekend after Annalise broke her leg, but of course that was a huge difficulty. We enlisted Todd's Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Scott to look for us in the Phoenix area. Aunt Cheryl was so kind and even offered to come to Tucson to help out with Annalise during her weeks in a cast. We didn't take her up on it, there really wasn't much for another person to do, but the offer was so kind. It's hard having Todd's parents gone and mine were in Utah until the end of October. However, the minivan search was super important and they found a great one! It had everything we wanted, automated sliding side doors, leather and a built in DVD player. It's basically like our Honda Accord except it didn't have a built in GPS. It only had 88,000 something on it when it, while our Accord was up to 94,000 something. It was like a miracle getting Annalise in and out of it with her cast on. The doors would slide open, I could just lean in instead of bending down, and her wheelchair went into the back without an issue. Awesome. I thought I would miss our Accord, it was the first car we dated in, we drove away from our reception in it, brought home two of our babies in it, it was going to be hard to say goodbye. Yeah, the minivan made the transitions A LOT easier. :)
Our new minivan!
We thought we needed a picture of us on Castillo Rd.
After Annalise got her cast off we finally started to celebrate the season! We had everything decorated and made plans to have parties and trunk or treat at church.
Annalise loved a Party invite she got from Todd's Aunt Mona. She still plays with it.
She also liked these fake raven, both girls kept stealing them from off the piano.
Nora thought putting them on her head was hilarious!
So Annalise wanted to join in on the fun.
We planted our winter garden.
We planted 3 different varieties of peas (wanted to see which I liked best) and broccoli, cauliflower, green onions and dill
The girls love planting seeds.

Todd's birthday was on a Monday, so I tried to make it special although he didn't want to do anything for it. I decided to make him carrot cake (his favorite), got dinner from a Filoberto's knockoff, balloons from the dollar store (what birthday is complete without balloons?!) and a present from the girls - also bought at the dollar store. Sadly, Daddy got home really late from work so we ate without him. At least we waited to do cake with him.
Daddy with his balloons and cake, which the girls wanted to put spiders on. (I regretted later buying the Halloween balloon with the other Happy Birthday balloons since Todd like to place it random places to scar me. The worse was when I got out of the bathroom and the balloon was floating about at the height of a person. Freaked. Me. Out.)
Daddy and his girlies!
Daddy blew out his candle, but I think it was Annalise who actually blew it out.
The girls wanted to buy him rubber duckies from the dollar store.
The last big thing that happened before Halloween was that we found out that we are having another little girl come to our family. I am so happy, I love little girls. Todd has been saying it was a girl since the very beginning, he just knew. But I think three girls are enough - I need a boy after this. :)
I'm so excited to expand our family and get to spend time together.
With All My Love,
Your Mother
