Dearest Castillo Children,
Hi, my sweeties! So I just wanted to share a quick story with you. So I was doing a project for Nora's Big girl/ Princess room. I decided to frame some paper dolls that I had. There paper dolls were actually mine from when I was a girl. They are from 1981 so they are as old as me! I wanted to keep them since they are gorgeous but I didn't want Nora to play with them and rip them up. So I decided to frame them and put them up in her room as decoration. I had the all laid out on the guest bed and with glass out of the frame. Nora jumps up there to see what I am doing and they said the had an owie. Now, Nora likes to over exaggerate her stage of "owies" a lot so I usually tell her she's find and ignore her. I felt bad when I looked over and she had blood running down her arm. PANIC!! My baby is bleeding! I washed it, put pressure on it and bandaged her up as best I could. I called Grammy just to make sure they were nothing more I could do. I felt SO horrible about it. First, because it was my project that she got hurt on and I should have moved the glass far away from the bed, or at least waited until they were in bed to do the project! And second, because I didn't believe her until I saw blood running down her arm. I felt so bad that I even let her watch Megamind and made her cookies instead of doing her chores with me. Oh, the mommy guilt! Why do we do this to ourselves. Nora is fine. Grammy said we did about as good as we could considering the cut but I still felt bad. Nora is going to have a big scar on the side of her wrist and hopefully it'll be smaller than I think since she is so young and she has a lot more growing to so. I keep trying to keep her from getting scars but I guess there are worst things.
This past weekend Grammy and Pop Pop came to visit while I was off doing a lot of different activities. Nora and Annalise both love their Grammy and Pop Pop and it is always nice to see them. Since they usually come and help with some sort of project. ;)
With All My Love,
Your Mother
