Making Up for Lost Time

Dearest Castillo Children,

I have no idea where one week ended and another started. It seems I already posted those other pictures in the week before. Oops! I'm trying my best to recall when things happened. I guess I need to be smart and keep my blog up to date or else I'll forget everything!

My friend Melanie called me Monday morning letting me know she was doing a three day swimming lesson for one of our friend's kids and Nora could join in if I had the time. I jumped at the chance for Nora to take some lessons from her and to refresh on what she learned last year. Nora did a great job and is getting better at her "rocket dive". She still needs to learn how to coordinate her arms and legs, but I think that'll come with time. I was so mad when I realized I forgot to bring my camera for lessons. However, we had a Slip 'n' Slide at home and I promised the girls we could use. So at least I have pictures of us having fun on that. It was awesome. Nothing like spending an hour playing with your kids.

Nora liked sitting in the little pool at the end.

The girls didn't get the "slide" part of the activity, so I basically pushed them.

Their attempts of doing it themselves. They really aren't moving here. :)

On a Saturday Todd wanted to have a BBQ at random. We called a bunch of people, but no one was free to come over and eat with us, except my awesome friend Cindy. We had made laundry soap together earlier that day and it was super easy. And cheap! I don't think I'll ever go back to store bought detergent again. Cindy came over and, of course, the girls wanted to show off for her.

With our sunflowers. I love watching them turn as the sun move across the sky!

Nora forever making up some game.

I loved the way the setting sun made their wings glow.

Nora showing off her balancing skills.

I just really liked this one of Nora. :)

Cindy offered to take one of the three of us.

We also love to spend time in our backyard after the sun starts making it's way towards setting. Our backyard is nicely shaded after about 4:00, so by 6:00 the sun is still up but it's beautiful outside. We like to look at and water our garden, play games, pet the dogs and enjoy running around as a family.

Annalise giving daddy a BIG hug!

I don't know where Nora learned to put up a peace sign and thumb's up...

It's her new favorite thing to do in photos now... so odd!

I just liked this one of Nora.

Well, my cuties. I have no idea of the timeline anymore, but I'm glad I at least posted these picture! Hopefully my next post will make more sense as I try to piece together our activities. Oops!

Love you always and forever!

With All My Love,

Your Mother
