I haven't forgotten my commitment to write letters to you about your childhood, promise! I just may have fallen out of the habit. Actually, I got sick on Cinco de Mayo, which happened to fall on a Sunday, and didn't blog. Then it was Mother's Day and I forgot again...and now I have no excuse except I got lazy. Here I am! Ready to recommit to you!
The last week of April was fairly uneventful, so hopefully I can blog about it really quickly and do my other posts over the next few nights!
Nora and Annalise both have been suffering from allergies. The poor things! Nora would wake up after having the windows open all night with her eyes all swollen. She got a lot of sympathy from a lot of people. They both had horrible running noses and itchy eyes. It seems really bad this year, for some reason.
We feed this missionaries after they cancelled on us, twice! I heard from a friend they were really disappointed having to cancel since the Castillos were known for good food. That's right! I blame my husband mostly, but I'm not too shabby of a cook myself.
On that Thursday Nora had her official last day of Preschool. Aww! I can't believe she was done! We still had a party to go to for "graduation" and a play group for the next few weeks, but no more structured classes. It's crazy to think that summer is already here.
Nora learned about the letter "Z"

The only other story I have is one about this Christmas ornament puzzle we finally put together this week. We've this ornament for such a long time, I have no idea how long we've had it. However, every Christmas Nora begs for us to put it together and we kept saying no. Well, she found the little box again (somehow) and I finally gave in and helped put the puzzle together. Luckily, it was numbered or else I would have NEVER gotten that thing together! Once it was done the girls started fighting over who got to play with it. This is a delicate little puzzle ball, not something that can be tossed around. Or at least, not tossed around without someone being able to reconstruct it. I would let them hold it only if they were very gentle and took turn. Here are some pictures of Annalise's turn.

Isn't her outfit fabulous?
You get all the pictures since I didn't take a lot of pictures this week...
It only broke a little at the top. :)
I also had my ANWA meeting at my house this week. ANWA is my writer's club. I haven't worked much on my play lately. Just lazy, I guess. I still like the meetings. Todd was home and so he took the girls and ran errands at Sam's Club while I worked with the other women on their stories. I decided to rework some of my plot and change my main character from an attorney to a court appointed psychologist. I'm not sure how I'll get around the whole "patient confidentiality" because I want her to discuss the case with her daughter. Maybe have her daughter work for her? Hmm... ANYWAY! After the meeting Todd comes back from Sam's Club with a giant cake. You know, one of those sheet cakes? I'm like: remember when I'm trying to stay away from gluten? Yeah... I loved Costco (and it's equivalent Sam's) cake. But not when I think I'm getting sick from one of the key ingredient. So weird, Todd is usually so super thoughtful. I could tell he was disappointed that his surprise didn't get the reaction he wanted. Still sweet of him to think of me.
Like I said, Cinco de Mayo I was sick. Probably from gluten. But not from the cake. We stuck that in the freezer to use at another time. The girls went to church in their dresses we bought them in Mexico. I wish I could have taken a picture. We might have to recreate it just so I can say they wore these dresses for Cinco de Mayo. ;)
That's all I remember from that week, my little beauties. Hopefully my next few post will be a little more informative!
With All My Love,
Your Mother
